HVAC Journeyman (Retro Work)

BR Plumbing & Gas Fitting is looking for a HVAC Journeyman (Retro Work) in Edmonton, AB.

BR Plumbing & Gas Fitting LTD. is a fast growing plumbing and heating company on Edmonton’s south side and we are looking to welcome an additional service technician to our team. Our work includes both residential and commercial projects throughout the Edmonton area. The ideal candidate brings a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and proven service experience. This role focuses on retrofit installation, replacement, and service of HVAC systems for both commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to adapt to unique retrofit situations where problem-solving and custom solutions are a key part of the job.

Some of your daily tasks include:

• Install, replace, and retrofit HVAC equipment and ductwork.
• Diagnose system issues and implement corrective measures.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and manuals.
• Work safely and efficiently on occupied job sites with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with apprentices and team members to ensure high-quality project completion.
• Maintain compliance with safety codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Provide professional customer service on retrofit projects.

This full-time position is starting at $40.00 – $50.00 an hour.

• Certified Journeyman HVAC Technician (valid ticket required).
• Minimum 3–5 years of HVAC installation and retrofit experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, controls, and ventilation principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot retrofit challenges and deliver effective solutions.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Current driver’s license in good standing.
• Gas fitter certification considered an asset.
